Nanaimo boasts Vancouver Island's premier mountain bike trail networks, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Nanaimo Mountain Bike Club. From the flowing descents of Fine China in Doumont to the scenic XC routes around Westwood Lake and the technical challenges of South Benson, there's something for every rider. However, some trails are remote and on private land, so be prepared for any situation. Always inform someone of your plans and avoid riding solo for safety.
